Well maybe not just yet. But like many of the other things from those sci-fi books you secretly read growing up, invisibility is on the list of up and coming technologies. So supposedly, scientist at the University of California in Berkeley have developed a new kind of material that bends light around 3D objects making them "disappear". Which means you will not be playing the next Hollow Man, but more so Harry Potter and his cloak of invisibility.

But this is still a ways off with researchers stating that, "The team says the principles could one day be scaled up to make invisibility cloaks large enough to hide people"
