It must mean you are pretty darn tooting good (heh heh you like that one) when you are 8 years old and you're competition who's more than 3x your age are calling child labor services to get you pulled from your performances. Well considering your gigs were at bars and taverns, but where else do you sing the blues?
Eight year old Tallan "T-Man" Latz of Wisconsion is a guitar prodigy, who has been playing since the age of five, was recently told that he could no longer perform his nightly, because the office of child labor laws said that under state laws he is too young to perform in tarverns and night clubs. But how did the state office find out? Well apparently all of the hoopla that T-Man was creating with his talent and age, were intimidating or better yet pissing off some fellow musicians. The state's office received an anonymous email complaining about his age, as well as his booking agent getting an anonymous letter threatening her with death if she keeps booking him.
So what does the young T-Man say when he's told he can't perform any more? His dad says,
"He goes, 'It's not how many times you get knocked down but it's how many times you get back up and go forward,' Carl Latz said his son told him. "And I told him that's exactly what this is all about and if nothing else this letter just taught you a life lesson."
Here's my thing, and this may be a silly question. So you can't be a child star in Wisconsin? Like what about the Olsen twins (full house era) when they've been on the show working since they were babies, or Dakota Fanning or Abigail something or another?? I mean those are actors but they probably work longer days and under great stress and pressure for their age. Your thoughts...
